Peru Travel Guide - Travel to Peru
Travel to Peru - Why visit Peru? Almost everyone will be impressed by what Peru has to offer. The chief attractions of Peru are their archaeological patrimony of pre-Columbian cultures and the center of Inca’s Empire, their colonial architecture (has imposing colonial constructions), their gastronomy and the breathtaking natural beauty (a paradise for the ecological tourism).
When to visit Peru? The influence of the Andes and the Humboldt Current cause great climatic diversity within the country. February and March are fairly tolerable everywhere. The greatest number of foreign tourists visit Peru July-September-which is the dry season in the highlands, and this is the best time to go if you’re interested in hiking. The rainy season is June-September in Lima and November-March in the mountains. North and east highlands are subject to heavy rain October-April. It’s always hot and humid along the Amazon River.
