Hungary Travel Guide - Travel to Hungary

Travel to Hungary - Why visit Hungary? Almost everyone who loves European culture will love Hungary. The main attractions of Hungary include traditional cultural events, relaxing thermal spas, baroque palaces, friendly people, water and equestrian sports, great food, quality wines, museums, old churches, wine-making villages, excellent music, interesting rural villages and bird-watching in some of the best spots in Europe. Hungary is an excellent first-time destination for travelers to eastern Europe. But despite its modern amenities, it remains as exotic and appealing as its traditional folk melodies.

When to visit Hungary? Spring in Hungary is glorious, though it can be pretty wet in May and June. Summer is warm, sunny and unusually long, but the resorts are very crowded in late July and August. Autumn is beautiful, particularly in the hills around Budapest and in the Northern Uplands. Winter is cold, often bleak and museums and other tourist attractions are often closed.
