The airport is located in Arlington, Virginia on the west bank of the Potomac River just south of the city, is the closest and most convenient.
Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (airport code: BWI), commonly called BWI, BWI Airport or BWI-Marshall, is a focus city for Southwest Airlines and a secondary hub for AirTran Airways. The airport is located in Linthicum, Maryland, about 16 km south of Baltimore and 48 km northeast of Washington, D.C. Metro operates the hourly B30 express Metrobus to the Greenbelt Metro Station (Green Line). It boards on the lower level outside the International Pier.
