Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (airport code: WAW), formerly named as Okęcie International Airport, is by far the busiest airport in Poland, handling around 100 scheduled domestic and international flights daily and an ever rising number of charters. London, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam are the busiest international connections, while Krakow, Wroclaw and Gdansk are the most popular domestic ones. The airport is located 10km southwest of Warsaw. Central Warsaw can be reached by the municipal bus lines: 175 and 188 during the day and N32 at night. There is also an additional line 148 that provides access to Ursynów (a southern part of Warsaw) and Praga (an eastern part of Warsaw). Some hotels provide a shuttle bus service to and from the hotel on request and a taxi stand is located in front of the Arrivals Hall. Intercity Polski Express provides direct regular bus connections to 30 towns in Poland. Bus stops are located in front of the Arrivals hall. Most leading car rental companies, including Avis, Budget, Hertz and National, operate from the airport outside arrivals in terminal 1.
