Japan - International Flights to Japan
Fly to Japan - Being located off the coast of northeast Asia, the easiest way to get into Japan is by air. Most international flights to Japan arrive at either Tokyo-Narita Airport (NRT) or Osaka-Kansai Airport (KIX). Given the prohibitive cost of traveling within Japan, it is a smart idea to try and get as close as possible to your destination by flying directly to one of Japan’s many regional airports. These include Nagoya Airport, located between Tokyo and Osaka, Niigata Airport (KIJ) (north of Tokyo and servicing South Korea and Russia), Fukuoka Airport (FUK) and Kagoshima Airport (KOJ) (Kyushu) and Naha Airport (OKA) (Okinawa). Japan’s two major airlines are Japan Airlines (JAL) and All Nippon Airways (ANA). Northwest Airlines and United Airlines also operate sizable hubs at Narita, with international flights to many destinations in the USA and Asia.
