Here are some top airlines that fly to Dublin. Ireland’s flag airline Aer Lingus flies to Dublin from a large number of European cities and from the USA. Europe’s largest budget airline, Ryanair has one of its main bases in Dublin from which it flies to a large number of European airports including Paris, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Madrid and Frankfurt as well as smaller regional airports such as Nantes. Ireland’s third airline Aer Arann links Dublin to many regional Irish airports and some smaller UK cities. Budget carrier Flybe links Dublin to Exeter, Norwich and Southampton on the UK mainland, and Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
Dublin airport is about 12km north from the city center. You can take three types of buses to the city. Aircoach express service connects to the city center and many of Dublin’s major hotels. Buses leave every 15 minutes and the journey time to the center is approximately 30 minutes. Dublin Bus offers an express AirLink service every 10 minutes at peak times to the city center and bus station. Dublin Bus also offers substantially cheaper standard services to the center and further afield in the southern suburbs, but these are non-express and stop significantly more times going to and from the airport. Buses run every 10 - 25 minutes depending on time of day. Taxi and car rentals are also available.
