Cambodia Travel Guide - Travel to Cambodia
Travel to Cambodia - Why visit Cambodia? Adventurous travelers who are interested in Southeast Asian history (both ancient and modern) will enjoy Cambodia. Cambodia’s main attractions are the ancient temples of Angkor, Southeast Asian culture, historic buildings and jungle scenery. To understand modern Cambodia, travelers can also see the Tuol Sleng Genocde Museum and Choeung Ek. Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is dilapidated but still intriguing. Sihanoukville offers decent beaches and a sleepy atmosphere.
When to visit Cambodia? The best months to visit Cambodia are December and January, when humidity is bearable, temperatures are cooler and it’s unlikely to rain. The worst weather is June-October, when the monsoon season is in full swing and the humidity is astronomical. The country’s biggest festival, Bon Om Tuk, is held in early November, and is well worth catching.
