When to visit Belgium? The best time to visit Belgium is mid-May to late September which is the warmest time. The winter months are cold during the day and below freezing at night. It rains a lot year-round (though it’s usually only a drizzle), so take a folding umbrella or a waterproof jacket. A sweater is necessary almost any time of year. If you’re going strictly for indoor sightseeing (museums and so forth), October can be very nice. If you want to avoid crowds, try mid-April to mid-June or mid-September.
