Belgium Travel Guide - Travel to Belgium

Travel to Belgium - Why visit Belgium? Belgium is a particularly nice travel destination for those who have a good sense of history, who appreciate fine architecture and excellent food and drink, with two culinary stars: good beer and great chocolate, and who want to see a wide variety of tourist attractions without packing up and moving every other day. (The country can be seen on a series of day trips from a central base.)

When to visit Belgium? The best time to visit Belgium is mid-May to late September which is the warmest time. The winter months are cold during the day and below freezing at night. It rains a lot year-round (though it’s usually only a drizzle), so take a folding umbrella or a waterproof jacket. A sweater is necessary almost any time of year. If you’re going strictly for indoor sightseeing (museums and so forth), October can be very nice. If you want to avoid crowds, try mid-April to mid-June or mid-September.
